Pete the Physicist

One of the things well know the the few who know me is that I have a irrational attachment to physics. I kind of love it. I am a physicist. Basically, I am the classic nerd.

I graduated August 2017 from Brigham Young University with a BS in physics. During my studies I learned many valuable skills from programming skills to advanced mathematics. I also participate in 2 years of laboratory research with the BYU high intensity laser group. I loved doing research. I was the best part of my undergraduate experience. The details of my research can be found at the link below.

I was previously enrolled in a PhD at the University of Oklahoma in Physics. I have decided that it is time for me to take a break and explore other opportunities. I hope to return to graduate school in the next few years and pursue a PhD in optics.

I am working one step at a time toward that goal. Believe me it as been nothing less that an eternal battle to get as far as I have, but physics in its own weird way makes my heart happy, and it is what I have chosen to dedicate my life to.
